AKA - Ann Frillman, Creator of Knitted/Felted Purses and Bags
When I retired, one of my goals was to take up knitting. Then I was introduced to felting and fell in love with the process. Felting is magic! Knit an item (it's s-o-o-o big)...put it in the washer with hot, hot, water...and voila! It's transformed into a beautiful piece of woolen art!
I conceived Fiona Felting in 2009, have been kntting passionately ever since, and am always
- searching for different, interesting patterns
- experimenting with many types of wool from all over the world
- learning new designs and techniques
- being inspired by nature and travel in Mexico and Florida
My husband and I now live in a motor home and travel around Florida for his work. So knitting/felting is the perfect medium for me. I can knit anywhere anytime. I only use yarn that I love so that I can enjoy the total process. I love my creations and could tell you a story about each one's origin.
My showcase in St. Louis in November 2010 was the result of a year's work and fun. In fact, all of 2010 was challenging and very fulfilling for me...stimulating and full of growth. I'm looking forward to Fiona's future evolution. I am so blessed and grateful to

Fiona does take special orders. You choose the approximate size, shape, design, and colors. Since I never make the same purse twice, there will be variations in the natural materials and the handcrafting.
